Celebrate With Us

We’d like to let you know of a few changes that will be happening in the pub over the next couple of weeks.
From Wednesday, 20th of April we will be open as usual but as we are temporarily short staffed, will not be serving any food. We’re sorry we’ve had to make this decision but like many other businesses we’re facing recruitment challenges which seem to be currently commonplace across hospitality.
We will also be closed all day on Friday, 22nd of April for a private family wedding but open again on Saturday the 23rd.
From Monday day the 25th of April we will serving food from a limited menu from Wednesday to Sunday which will continue for a few weeks. Unfortunately it means no Sunday roasts 😕
However all normal service for food at lunchtime, evenings, including Sunday roasts will resume from the week commencing the 16th of May when we will again be fully staffed.
We thank you for your patience and hope you will support us through the short term change and look forward to seeing you soon.
We also offer bespoke set menus for special occassions or parties to suit all tastes and budgets, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in something a little different. If you have a private event you'd like us to host, get in touch!
Here, at The Royal Oak we offer superb food, showcasing local, seasonal produce. Our hands-on dedicated chef is incredibly knowledgeable on seasonal produce and writes his menus accordingly. We work in a very flexible way changing dishes and menus regularly to coincide with, not only seasonal produce but also the very best quality Somerset has to offer.
Served Sunday 12-3pm
Sunday Lunch at the Royal Oak is made from scratch using only the best, locally sourced ingredients.
We use locally sourced rare breed beef, crispy pork belly, and free range chicken, all with seasonal veg and homemade sauces and gravy.
If you don't eat meat we always have a fantastic vegetarian dish which is currently a Pecan & Date Nut Roast.
All our puddings are homemade and include family favourites.
We recommend reserving a table for Sunday lunch, as it is a very popular time for us.
We offer a range of beers including locally brewed real ales, lager, cider, wine by the glass and bottle, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks with the driver in mind.
Families and children are always welcome in the bar or dining room, and small to medium-sized dogs on leads, are permitted at any of the tables in the bar - we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
