Sunday Lunch

WE’RE BACK!  Well sort of…

We’ll be re-opening our outside area in the week commencing 12th April (and internal areas from 17th May) and are now taking bookings.

Regulations stipulate that its a maximum of 6 guests from any number of households, or two households.  Should you wish to book for more than 6 guests (i.e. max two households) you’ll need to contact us via email for the time being.

If the government impose further conditions of trade then we shall make that information available on our website.

Our one way system is still in place, with the entrance to the pub through the front door and the exit through the door to the garden and out into the car park. We’ll have everything clearly signposted and marked so you’ll know exactly what to do.

There will be hand sanitiser stations at both the exit and entry doors and outside the toilets and we’d encourage you to use them as you arrive and throughout your stay.

When you arrive at the bar, we’ll take you to your table and take your orders for food and drinks.

As we’ve been really careful to plan the pub to meet the minimum social distance of a minimum 1m+, we ask that you don’t move any furniture, however much you want to feng shui the pub!

There will be signage to point out the best way to move around the pub, especially to the toilets.

Much as we love our little guests, we’d ask that children stay with you at all times.

Doggy friends are still welcome but we ask that they stay on leads, no matter how cute.

Please respect social distancing and personal space and be mindful that some people may be less comfortable than others.

As timings will be even more important to help manage space, please let us know if you’re running late or if anything changes with your booking as soon as you can.

All staff will have their temperature taken daily and they will also be using appropriate PPE.

There will be regular cleaning of door handles and common areas.

Most of all we want to see as many of you as possible. Please get in touch to book your table and we’ll make your time with us as enjoyable as possible.

Best wishes from Andy & the team at the Royal Oak!

A Pint of Beer

We offer a range of beers including locally brewed real ales, lager, cider, wine by the glass and bottle, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks with the driver in mind.

Families and children are always welcome in the bar or dining room, and small to medium-sized dogs on leads, are permitted at any of the tables in the bar - we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Here, at The Royal Oak we offer superb food, showcasing local, seasonal produce. Our hands-on dedicated chef is incredibly knowledgeable on seasonal produce and writes his menus accordingly. We work in a very flexible way changing dishes and menus regularly to coincide with, not only seasonal produce but also the very best quality Somerset has to offer.

We also offer bespoke set menus for special occassions or parties to suit all tastes and budgets, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in something a little different. If you have a private event you'd like us to host, get in touch!

Served Sunday 12-3pm

Sunday Lunch at the Royal Oak is made from scratch using only the best, locally sourced ingredients.

We use locally sourced rare breed beef, crispy pork belly, and free range chicken, all with seasonal veg and homemade sauces and gravy.

If you don't eat meat we always have a fantastic vegetarian dish which is currently a Pecan & Date Nut Roast.

All our puddings are homemade and include family favourites.

We recommend reserving a table for Sunday lunch, as it is a very popular time for us.
